"Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, it there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy meditate on these things." Phil 4:8

God is near..

God is always near no matter how big or how small our need...

Today was the first day of standardized testing that we must do to fulfill a requirement by the homeschooling group we are apart of.  This is not one of my favorite parts of the year, in fact I didn't like taking them as a child either. However, to my delight, today went rather smoothly.  I had been nervous after last year when my son stressed out so much about the "time", that he froze and couldn't function.  So, we were able to do testing this year without a timer, and it worked beautifully.  God was near and heard my prayer!

Then this evening I received a message from a person who "happened" upon this blog. She received tragic news today, and the Lord met her where she was and comforted her in her grief.  God was near and heard her prayers!

The Lord is truly awesome and hears all our prayers.  What a blessing when we see His Hand on our ordinary lives!

"The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth."
Psalm 145:18

Yes, praise God that He is near and does hear our prayers - even before we have uttered them!I am happy for you that what was a stressful event in the past went well this time around. Praise our faithful & loving God for that. :)

We had a rough night, and I can already tell that today is going to be a rough day. Our doggy, Sam, died a difficult death last night, and we are so heartbroken. I hope that God was near for him and that he knew and felt how truly loved he is in his last hours. <3

Thank God He does!!

I love the clean heart and home idea too. I might have to try that over the summer.

BTW- in response to your question on my blog about how I get everything done... 2 things. 1- I don't always. Sometimes I just have to let things go and know there's grace. 2- I use Managers of thier Homes (MOTH) schedule. It really has freed up a lot of brain space and pockets of time I didn't know I had.

Stopping over from CBC! I totally believe that God is always near, no matter how big or small our need. Isn't it wonderful how Great our God is?!! :)

It is crazy, how people, myself included allow ourselves to fall into the mentality that God is only concerned with the big things. When I stop and smell the roses in my spiritual life, I find that God actually seems to be more concerned with the little things. I think the reason why is that He is trying to teach us what I call the Immanuel principle. God with us! Walking daily, never leaving or forsaking.

Great Post! Keep up the good work!
